A French business school with a genuinely global classroom

SKEMA Business School takes a rather different approach to international business education. Instead of treating overseas exposure as an optional addition to a French degree, the school has built international mobility into the structure of many of its programmes. Students can study across SKEMA's campuses in France and abroad, with opportunities spanning Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and South America.
For students looking at France from India, this makes SKEMA particularly interesting: the destination is French, but the educational experience does not have to remain confined to France.

Why SKEMA Stands Out

SKEMA's strongest differentiator is its multi-campus model. Its current network includes the Grand Paris, Lille and Sophia Antipolis campuses in France, alongside locations in Raleigh in the USA, Suzhou and Nanjing in China, Belo Horizonte in Brazil, Stellenbosch in South Africa and Dubai in the UAE. The school also has an AI Innovation Centre in Montréal.

That international structure feeds directly into the student experience. SKEMA reports more than 130 nationalities within its student community, while its international strategy includes around 180 academic partnerships and close to 20 double-degree partnerships for the Programme Grande École.

What makes the SKEMA experience distinctive:

  • A multi-campus education spanning France and several international destinations
  • Undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with English-taught options
  • Opportunities to combine academic study with international mobility
  • Strong exposure to business, technology, finance, marketing, consulting and entrepreneurship
  • Professional experience built into several programmes
  • A highly international student community
  • Triple accreditation through EQUIS, AACSB and EFMD EMBA accreditation frameworks

Programmes at SKEMA

SKEMA offers a much broader portfolio than a conventional undergraduate business school.
For students entering after school, the Global BBA is a four-year Bachelor in Management taught in English. It is available through SKEMA's French campuses at Lille and Sophia Antipolis, with international pathways that can take students to destinations including the USA, Brazil and Dubai depending on the chosen route.

The Global BBA also includes specialised pathways. These range from conventional management disciplines to areas such as Artificial Intelligence, where students combine mathematical and computer-science foundations with business applications. SKEMA says students can spend one or two years abroad depending on their specialisation and chosen degree pathway.

For postgraduate students, the Programme Grande École / Master in Management provides another route. The programme is available in English and French and can be undertaken across SKEMA's French and international campuses. Students can also incorporate professional experience and international campus exposure into their study plan.

SKEMA's current MSc portfolio extends into specialised areas including:

  • Artificial Intelligence for Business Transformation
  • Cybersecurity Management and Consulting
  • Sustainable Finance & Fintech
  • International Business
  • International Marketing & Business Development
  • Global Supply Chain Management & Procurement
  • Luxury & Fashion Management
  • Entrepreneurship & Innovation
  • Business Consulting & Decision Intelligence
  • Product Management & UX Design
  • Strategic Management & Consulting
  • Sport, Event & Hospitality Management

This range is particularly relevant to students who want a business qualification but do not necessarily want to follow a traditional general-management route.

International Learning, Not Just International Branding

SKEMA's international element becomes most meaningful when you look at how its programmes are structured.
The Global BBA, for example, allows students to spend one or two years abroad depending on their specialisation and degree pathway. One of its Artificial Intelligence pathways takes students from Sophia Antipolis to Raleigh in the United States for the later part of the programme.

The Grande École programme similarly allows students to build international campus experience into their education, with locations including France, the USA, China, Brazil, South Africa and the UAE. SKEMA also reports that students can accumulate substantial periods of company experience during the programme.
That creates a different proposition from simply studying business in Paris: the international movement can become part of the degree itself.

Career Opportunities

SKEMA places considerable emphasis on connecting academic learning with professional experience.
Within the Grande École programme, students can undertake internships and other periods of company experience, with SKEMA reporting between six and 21 months of in-company experience during the programme. Its international campus structure can also allow students to combine professional exposure with time spent abroad.

The Global BBA follows a similar philosophy. SKEMA reports that 90% of graduates find employment within six months, while graduates move into areas such as consulting, finance, digital marketing, business development, strategy and entrepreneurship.

For students considering specialised postgraduate study, the breadth of the MSc portfolio also means that a general business background can lead into more focused areas such as AI, fintech, cybersecurity, luxury, supply chain or consulting.

Why Indian Students May Consider SKEMA

For Indian students, SKEMA can make sense when the objective is to combine French higher education with substantial international exposure.
A student interested in business, finance, marketing or management can study in France while retaining the possibility of an international campus experience. Students with a more technology-oriented interest can also look at programmes where business is combined with areas such as artificial intelligence, data and digital transformation.

The school also offers both undergraduate and postgraduate routes, making it relevant to different stages of an Indian student's academic journey. Its Global BBA provides a four-year undergraduate option, while the Grande École/Master in Management and specialised MSc programmes provide postgraduate pathways.
