New opportunities make studying at a leading UK university more accessible for Indian applicants
The University of Sussex has confirmed English language waiver options and scholarship opportunities for eligible Indian students applying for postgraduate studies in the UK.
Students from several Indian education boards, including the Kerala State Board, may be eligible to meet English language requirements through their Class XII English scores, subject to the university's admission criteria. For many applicants, a minimum score of 70% in Class XII English may be accepted in place of a separate English language test.
In addition, eligible Indian students applying for selected Master's programmes may receive the Sussex India Scholarship, which offers a tuition fee reduction of £5,000. The scholarship is available to Indian nationals classified as overseas students and enrolling in eligible full-time Master's courses at the University of Sussex.
The announcement comes as increasing numbers of Indian students continue to consider the UK for its globally recognised qualifications, research-led teaching, and strong graduate opportunities.
For students from Kerala exploring postgraduate study in the UK, developments such as English language waivers and university scholarships can help simplify the admissions process and reduce overall study costs.
